My Work and Folders

Your own library: folders you can nest as deep as you like, and the items you have not filed at its root.

My Work is your own library: the documents you have created, and with All Apps chosen, everything you made in the other liveworkspace apps too. It is the first row under Spaces in the Explorer sidebar. Each team you belong to sits beside it as a space of its own (Team Spaces).

An item lives in exactly one place: My Work or a team. Moving it changes where it lives. Everything else in the sidebar (Home, Inbox, Timeline, Shared With Me, and the Library's Recent and Favourites) is a view that gathers items from wherever they live.

The root of My Work

Opening My Work lists its folders first, then every item of yours that is not in a folder. This is the one place those items are listed, so it is where to look for what still needs filing (a team's root does the same for the team). A freshly created document lands there unless you made it inside a folder or set a default folder, so it always has an obvious home without you deciding anything first. Filing an item into a folder moves it out of the root; moving it back to My Work puts it there again.

Documents an AI tool made for you sit there too, like any other, and carry a Made by AI badge. To see only those, wherever they are filed, use the Made by AI filter (Search and Filter Documents).

This Browser

Documents saved only in this browser (Offline Mode) are yours too, but they live in this browser rather than in My Work: they collect under This Browser, in the sidebar's More group. Wherever one is listed, a This Browser pill marks it, because clearing this browser's site data deletes it. When you are signed in, Sync Document moves one into your account.

Favourites

Choose Add to Favourites in any item's menu to star it. It marks the handful of items you care about with a star wherever they are listed, and the same menu reads Remove from Favourites to take it back off. Your starred items are gathered under Favourites, in the sidebar's Library, from your own folders and every team you're in, each showing where it actually lives.

Starring is yours alone. Favouriting an item in a team folder doesn't favourite it for your teammates.

Folders

Folders give your library structure without forcing it. Create one with Create, then New Folder, at the top of My Work; move an item with Change Folder in its menu, or drag it onto a folder; and rename, move or delete a folder from its own menu. Deleting a folder never deletes what is inside: it moves up a level. See Folders for the details.

Two places to browse

You will meet My Work in two forms: the full-page Explorer, and the compact Explorer panel behind the editor's menu button. Both work whether or not you are signed in: a guest has a library of their own, and signing in carries it into the account.

Do not over-organise on day one. Start at the root, and pull items into folders once a real grouping emerges.
